I have had ulcerative colitis for 5 years. The first year was terrible and I had to be hospitalised but after I started taking the right medication it became inactive.

Every time he has a flare up, I can see that it really bothers him. I would like to be able to offer him whatever support he needs, but I don’t always know how to do this without making him too uncomfortable. Plus, I don’t want to make too big a deal of it if he doesn’t want to talk about it. Anyone who struggles with this disease or who is involved with someone who has it and could offer me advice would be great.

Lately I’ve been gaining weight and I’m guessing it is from IBS because I usually only have one bowel movement a day now from it. I was wondering if there is any way I can stay the weight I am now and stop gaining the weight. I’m only 110 pounds so I don’t really want to lose a lot of weight I just want to stop gaining weight.

He is a 7 month old lab . Got neutered 2 weeks ago. We did buy a new bag of puppy food about a week ago. Same kind as before,we didn’t change brands. He has had diarrhea for 3 days now.

My wife has gallstones and has been warned by her doctor not to eat foods with oil, or even many veggies. What would be good for her to eat? Most of the things she wants to eat are on the list the doctor is forbidding because they can make her sick.

Occasionally after having made poor meal choices I find myself stuck in a small office unable to escape my own intestinal gas. Being stuck in a green cloud of my own stink can trigger feelings of genuine depression. Is this normal?
Scar tissue from gall bladder removal surgery; what can do to get rid of it and the pain?

I had gall bladder removal surgery back in February. At times, the area around my tummy below the navel is a little sore and hurts when I walk or do strenuous activity, especially bending while cleaning up or picking up items. The pain also finds me if I sit for long periods of time and then get up. Is it scar tissue from the surgery or intense pain that I had prior to the removal? If so, what do I do to get rid of it? It is painful at times.
Do over the counter herbal colon cleanse pills work and are they safe ?

I suffer from terrible bloating after I eat and gas. I feel like I have gained ten pounds. Gas pills do nothing. I am thinking of trying an over the countr herbal colon cleanse. Do they work? Can anyone recommend one? Are they safe? Do they have side effects?

I have a healthy 5 month old baby boy. For the first 4 months of life he was breastfed exclusively and now I am switching from breast to bottle and have been weaning. He’s now only nursing in the morning. So far so good with constipation but I want to stop it before it happens. Any suggestions?
