Are you drinking a LOT of water? You need to. I’m guessing it has a lot of fiber, and you must increase your water intake so the fiber can move right through you.
not sure people do that so they do lose weight and their bodies become healthier , maybe your body is adjusting to the new you , and it may just need a little bit of time to get back on track. My mom just done this and she too was off track for the first 3 weeks , but she says she never felt better.
Colon cleansing is complete diet mumbo jumbo so there’s no reason it would cause you to lose or gain any weight. Look in other places for your answer, like diet and exercise.
I’ve had the same problem. Gained about 10 pounds in 7 days instead of losing. I have been drowning myself in water everyday, and other than drinking more water than I usually do, I haven’t changed my routine at all. I don’t understand. The only thing I can think of is that everyone’s body’s are different and react to the cleanse differently. I wish I would have known before hand. Now I have an extra 10 pounds to lose. *sigh*
I am not sure what happen in your case. I do herbal colon cleanse on a regular basis and I do not increase in weight as a result. As a matter of fact I reduce a bit since it gets rid of the bulk in my intestinal system.
This is what should happen if you use a good cleans properly. A good cleanse would require you to drink a lot of water. This is because in addition to increasing peristalsis, and the other properties of the herbs that makes it up, it should be also packed with fibers. The fiber will absorb the water and expand. As it expands it moves through the intestinal system, lubricates the colon, absorbs, cholesterol, sugars, toxins, and clean excess fat from the walls of the colon. As the colon cleans your cells will follow through by getting rid of excess toxin that might have build up in them. Because of having less toxins in your cells, you will then retain less water, and that will help to reduce weight. So, you will loose a few pounds from your abdomen in the form of bulk and possibly a few more from the rest of your body in the form of water that was retained because of toxin build up.
A good herbal colon cleanser will also carry pro-biotic. That is necessary to be taken as soon as the actual cleansing is completed. The pro-biotic will restore the digestive system. This will be necessary since both good and bad bacteria would have been cleansed out of your system. The good bacteria is now needed to be restored so that your foods can be broken down and absorbed efficiently. This is necessary to restore the proper pH of your digestive system and to prevent digestive problems.
If you have used a cleanser as described above and had the result you described, the only explanation would be that your diet might not have been of mainly high fiber foods, but of mainly absorbable carbohydrates and protein. (I have noted that most persons are using processed carbs instread of whole food in their diet. Not only are they depriving themselves of important nutrients, but these carbs are higher in calorie than whole foods) What probably was happening before is that absorption was limited as a result of build up on your colon, so your foods just basically pass through without you benefiting much from it. Now that your colon is clean and efficient, you are absorbing all your body needs to build muscles and reserve. (If you body had become famished for any reason at all, it has a way of storing more than usual when food become abundant) Thus the increase in weight. Or you might, without realizing, be eating a little more than you usual. That will happen if your body was starved of important nutrients during the time your system was clogged and now realizes that those nutrients are available.
However under normal circumstances, you should not increase in weight after a cleanse. I don’t. And all those I recommend my cleanser to report reducing in weight, not increasing. I still believe I am currently using the best cleanser formulated, since I have never come across any other with all it’s properties and effect in all my search.
