Can steroids cause gall bladder stones in women?
I’ve meet this girl that competes in body building, but now she can’t because of a gallbladder disease. She has to have surgery to remove them as she has gallbladder stones. She is very lean, muscular, probably more then the average male, and this could have simply came from diet and exercise alone. Yet, she is still feminite.
I asked her if she ever taken steroids and she says "no". My question is then, is it likely that steroids could have cause this, or increased the risk, as I am still suspicious? I have feelings for her, but don’t want to be involved if she is really doing such.

Rapid weight loss, fasting, and birth control pills can all cause gallstones. They seem much more likely to be the cause than steroids. I can’t find any legit info saying steroids would be a cause at all.
You might as well trust her unless she gives you a reason not to.
maybe its all the protein powders….
She probably is on steroids. It’s next to impossible for a woman to get bodybuilder-type muscle without injecting steroids, and of course she isn’t going to come out and tell you. Even big women don’t have massive muscles – you need lots and lots of testosterone for that. There was a show on bodybuilding on the science channel and they said bodybuilding women have 5-20xs more testosterone than the average 17 year old MALE. Your girl is probably on the low end, which is still pretty gross IMO.
The other thing is that besides steroids, lots of those women take massive weight-loss drugs that destroy the body, stuff that’s legal (you can get it at GMC) but will cause all sorts of problems.
