Can your gall bladder return after having it removed?
4 years ago at the age of 19 I had my gall bladder removed because I had tons of gallstones covering it. It was done through 4 small holes on my stomach.
For the last week I’ve been experiencing pain in the gall bladder area again. Similar (but not nearly as strong) to a gall bladder attack that I would get when I had gallstones.
My question is can gall bladders grow back after they’ve been removed? Any idea what could cause this pain all of a sudden after having it moved such a long time ago?
Thanks!

No it can’t grow back.
Try Gas-Ex. Could just be some trapped gas.
no.its part of your body, its not like skin or finger nails that grow.
it wont grow back.
No it can’t grow back. It might be somethign in the biliary tree (there are little tubes that can get clogged and cause pain…I have that) or it may be the pancreas or liver. You need to go to the doctor. Don’t let this continue because it may be something serious.
OK this is what happened to me. It was susposed to be a normal laser surgury. Unable to do it that way it was done surgergy. About time I was preparing to return work 4 wks later I got ill all over again. Pain, vomit, bad pale bowel color. Went to ER. Was admitted again, it was stones that were missed lodge in or somewhere in liver area. They kept me almost 2 weeks that time but it all wored out. I have heck of scar but all else is fine. So I would strongly ask to be exayed for more stones and be clear about your symtoms. Especially if bowels look bad, and pain worsens. My Dr said he has never had that happen in many years he has done that surgury.
