colonic used in lieu of colyte for a colonoscopy?
Does anyone know if you’re scheduled for a colonoscopy (or a similar exam,) if you can skip the nasty tasting liquid and/or laxative pills that are prescribed for this exam along with the fasting and clear liquid diet , if you just go for a colonic before the test instead? At least a colonic is a pleasant and very neat and sanitary procedure that I would think would achieve the same cleansing results (without having to spend the day before on the ‘throne’.) Medical professional answers appreciated.

Depends on how long the colonic is. An hour doesn’t always clean you totally. But you could try fasting and liquids before you go for the colonic. Also try a Castor oil pack.
I agree and I thought about this idea too. Laxatives are so painful.
