I have tried it, I was on it for about 10 days maybe a little longer. Honestly, yes you lose weight but I would only recommend it if you have something really important you need to be thin for and it doesn't matter if you put the weight back on after like a wedding or something.
For long term, I think it is a really bad idea because it is very easy to put the weight back on again as you have basically put your body into starvation mode and when you finally put food into it, it will store as much of that food as possible as fat. Take it from someone who has tried a million different diets!
When you are actually on the diet you will realise how much you love savoury food! lol
Every time I walked past any restaurant, even if I hardly ever ate there, I really wanted to go in it. It is also difficult if you have a dinner with your family, friends etc. Obviously you can't drink either. So it makes you quite anti social as it is difficult to be around people that are eating or drinking and you just have your sickly sweet lemon and maple syrup.
Also you will get a billion lectures from everyone (well I did anyway) the whole I'm worried about you...you should be eating more..... etc.
In the end I think the only way to really lose weight is eat a bit less and exercise, if you work out your BMR (google: BMR calculator) then you will see how many calories you need, if you then work that out over a week and minus any exercise. Then minus 3500 cals for every pound you want to lose.
Aim for two pounds a week.

That sounds kind of confusing but hopefully you get it.
I lost two stone over around 6 months just by working out and eating healthily (for two months I was doing the South beach diet which I think kick started the weight loss and teaches you some good basic principles- but I don't think it is entirely necessary.)

Anyway, hope that helps!

you mean detox? I'll warn you it tastes horrible, and it's extremely hard. But if you do it the correct way you will certainly see results.

I wouldn't recommend it, I just read an article by Dr. Oz. He said to forget fad diets just lower your calorie intake by 100 per day.
