I have read that rice milk is okay during detoxing as well as rice pasta etc.; is soy milk okay during detox?
I am currently avoiding wheat/gluten (most processed foods), dairy, alcohol, and caffeine. I would like to detox without supplements. I would like other food suggestions. I have an organic pasta sauce with no preservatives, just olive oil, garlic, tomatoes, and tomato paste. Is this okay when detoxing? I eat a lot of soy products and would like to know if any are okay during detox.

In a word, no. Rice milk and rice pasta is generally made out of white rice (unless the lable says so), but even though, it goes through a process, so it really is processed food. You would be best to stick with pure brown rice or wild rice. Plus, soy milk is the worst to be on during a detox. Have you had a look at the ingredients? Organic sugar is right up there! I realize that it is organic, but it’s still sugar. The pasta sauce is OK, but it has a tomatoe paste in it, which, again, goes through a processing stage. Most, if not all soy products go through a certain type of processing too. Think about it. They take a pure soy bean and make it into tofu. That would’ve had to gone through some type of process. The point of a detox is to get rid of ALL processed foods in your system. You really have to be careful and read the labels on foods. My advice to you is.. do nothing but fresh fruits and veggies (should be organic), a little bit of brown rice here and there, and purified water. The best foods for you are the ones that come with no labels. That’s the best detox you can do for your body.

Avoid soy milk. I avoid soy most times because against popular belief soy is harmful to your health. You should also avoid foods with Canola oil and the following Chemicals Red 40, Aspartame, Sucralose, Aculfame K, its work you would be shocked how many foods contain these toxins. I would also add foods High in Protein and Iron.
