no, cranberry juice is a myth. I have a kidney disease called RTA, and in its advance form causes stones. My nephrlogist said to avid powdered drinks like iced tea, and lemonade. She also said to avoid thinks with high amounts of vitamin C. So don’t take vitamin C tablets, or drink 8 vitamin waters a day. You don’t need to completely avoid soda, but you need to have to in moderation. So limit yourself to a can a week. Also drink ALOT of water. Everyone says Cranberry juice is best, but you need to watch how much you drink because juices now a days just aren’t as natural as everyone thinks they are. You need to go to the most basic of liquids, and that is water. I found it easier to see how much I was drinking by buying a reusable water container, and refilling until I reached my correct amount of water by the end of the day. This will sound gross, but this is a necessary. Check your urine’s color. The darker it is, the more you need to drink. It needs to be as diluted as possible.
**Also if you are not already taking a water pill talk to your doctor about taking one. Basically the water pill sends your fluids through your body quicker, and they pull all the unused water in your systems with it. It flushes your kidneys more often. And it is completely harmless.
I hope this helps!!!
oh my god i feel bad for you
Avoid a lot of soda; drink plenty of fluids, mainly cranberry juice
