I need a good cleanse for the liver and overall body?
I’ve been feeling sluggish and I know it’s due to weather change and me not working out as much. Everything I do eat bothers me to some extent as well. I was on a BCP called Yaz to regulate my cycles and it elevated my liver enzymes – now I’m trying to lower that back to normal. (i stopped taking Yaz- dangerous side -effects)
I need a good liver cleanse and overall detox. Also, how old should a person be before considering a colon cleanse?
I did not know that. so why are so many on the market FDA approved? shouldn’t they be illegal?
LOL@ Ant. I love Mexican food! I was waiting on your wisdom too.
I am feeling a little depressed. it’s the weather. I am more of a sun girl- that’s why I plan to move. problem solved I guess.
whats up Z! thanks for the insight.
Thanks to all of you! good info to know.

The only real "detox" that’s safe is lots of water. Those sold over the internet and some OTC places are generally ineffective for the advertised purpose and may be dangerous.
A colon cleanse is likewise a total shuck.
Save your money and protect your health; give this kind of crap a pass.
What’s up Cocoa!!!
There are a few things that I know of that are good for cleansing the body. First, drink a TON of water. Next, start eating foods with a lot of fiber, such as all bran cereals, beans, fruit, brocoli and other green veggies, because it will help your body get rid of toxins by having regular bowel movements, the fiber will push all of the toxins out, and the water works with it. Try adding lemon or lime, or any other citrus to a glass of water, citrus is a natural cleanser.
As far as specifically the liver, Milk Thistle is known for helping your liver to naturally get rid of toxins. http://www.liversupport.com/milkthistle.htm
I agree that buying those colon cleansers are really a waste of money. I spent a whole lot of money once on a 3 month colon cleanse, and noticed very little difference. After talking to the doctor, he said that all people need is to eat more fiber, and drink a lot of water, and your body will do it naturally.
You can also avoid fried foods, anything with too many artificial preservatives, and limit your meat intake for a while, to give your body a chance to cleanse itself of any overload of toxins.
Mexican food.
ya I’m just kidding. What everyone else is saying is correct Cocoa. Getting off the Yaz will get your liver enzymes back to normal and eating a healthy nutrient dense diet will elevate your mood and energy levels
You do realize that ALL "detox" amd "liver cleanse" products are frauds?
Agree with above post. Your body is a natural detoxifier.
First answer is correct. Just stick to a healthy diet.
You know what colon cleansing is? It’s taking out all the things that you would have shit out the next day, only for everything to build up again within 24 hours.
People claim that it cures slugglishness, that it cures their depression or helps them lose weight, because they are stupid and have no idea of how the body works. Cleansing won’t do anything, it’s merely a fad that idiots fall for on a daily basis. It plays along with this idea that suddenly we’re filled with all these TOXINS. We’re just walking bags of garbage all of a sudden, and we need to be "cleansed." Your body does that naturally on its own.
All you have to do is get out more, do something active, get the right amount of sleep at the right times and eat right. Force yourself to do brisk walks, or go to the gym, or just do something you enjoy. These are the ways that we get energy, and you’d be surprised how much small changes can make a huge difference.
If you follow that routine without cleansing and you’re still feeling sluggish, then you may be depressed and should talk to someone.
