Hi, at 3-4 months in, you really need to make an appt. with your docotr. This could be anything from food allergies and intolerances, IBS, Colitis, gastritis, ulcer or a combination of issues. The only way to rule anything in or out is to go to your doctor and get tested…
I wish you a speedy diagnosis and hope you feel better soon!
Very possible, have you tried increasing your water intake? You may need a colonscopy to see if there is anything going on. This is a long shot, but try eating yogurt. It contain the good bacteria that helps with your digestion. If not, trip to the doctor is in order.
Please consult your Doc, could be something serious like bowel obstruction or could be IBS. Doc needs to diagnose it in which they might do an xray. If you start vomiting notify doc right away.
Hey,
It very well could be irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The symptoms you are describing are very common with this condition.
See below for more info and treatments.
First thing to do is see a GI specialist ASAP! That being said, here is my experience:
I had the same symptoms that worsened over the last 2 years. After 2 incomplete colonoscopies by two different GI docs in the New England area (which was where I lived at the time), I was told there was nothing to explain my symptoms. I got to the point that this condition interferred not only with my work but just life in general. I returned to my GI doc in Arkansas who took a biopsy of the lining of my colon during another colonoscopy (which she did complete) and the diagnosis came back as "mastocytic enterocolitis" (not certain of spelling, could be endocolitis), a very recently discovered disease with no known cure. My symptoms (except the bloating) have been relieved with the prescription Entocort EC, but as I understand, this treatment only masks the symptoms, does not cure the disease. I understand there is a physician in CA that is an expert in this diagnosis and I am trying to find out more information. I have been told that this could be caused by an environmental or a food allergy and it is like my immune system is attacking my colon. Again, very little is known about this newly discovered disease and everything else gastro related is ruled out by tests before this diagnosis is considered. YOU must see a GI doctor ASAP, there are other more serious diagnoses that are easily detected and cured that you could be battling. Hope this helped, good luck!
