Is it ok for anyone to use a colon cleanser?

I don’t need to lose weight or anything, but I don’t exactly eat healthy, and I saw on the news, that the colon cleanser is good for not just men, but also women, and that it cleans gunk out and helps prevent colon cancer. Is it only for people trying to avoid colon cancer or who want to lose weight, or can someone who wants to be healthy use it. I just don’t want to take anything that will hurt me if I don’t need it.

I personally don’t believe that these cleaners remove "gunk" from your colon and I’ll tell you why. I have had a colonoscopy (where doctors run a camera on a tube through your colon looking for tumors or polyps). To prepare for that you are given a cleansing with laxatives and enemas and put on a restricted diet for a couple of days before. If there is a lot of gunk left over, the doctors would not be able to see the wall of the colon to detect these tumors or polyps. For years people survived without the colon cleansers and were perfectly healthy. A lot of our health problems stem from processed foods and lack of exercise.
It’s bull. Stay away from it and eat right.
There are a lot of colon cleanser options to choose from and since you are dealing with your health, it is wise to explore all of your options. I recommend you take a look at http://www.corecoloncleanser.com which has a ton of useful information, advice, resources and overall guidance.
