Detox And Cleanse Your Colon For Health And Long Life
I am a heavy drinker and have been for years now. I know I can use Valium to detox off alcohol. My question is how much, how often and for how long? I have no insurance and can’t afford detox and can’t really afford to spend a week in detox either.
Please, I’m trying to make a change in my life, my grades are good, but I’ve become increasingly dependent on alcohol and have to have a drink to stop shakes or nausea before I go to class and I really need good, helpful, supportive answers. I don’t have health insurance, and I have class on Monday, so that’s why I’m asking about detoxing at home.
I haven’t been taking very good care of myself & this weekend my friends & I went out (which is a rare occasion for me). So I want to completely cleanse/detox my system of alcohol, toxins just a complete fresh start. I am really trying to avoid the colon option…if possible.
My husband is in the hospital wtih pancreatitus. I am going crazy with worry, the net is so overwhelming! Has anyone been through this that can offer me some good information?
He has alcohol induced pancreatitis and was admitted Saturday. The only thing that has happened so far is pain management, iv fluids and an x ray,but no results yet. I really apperciate the web sites, I want to try and explain things to our children without worring them even more, thanks!
My mom does coffee enima and wants me to do them also. I heard of cleanses the liver, but I have liver cirhossis….. Is it still a good thing for me to try or something I should stay away from. I don’t want to harm my body but I do want to try it if it will help
I never had a sip of alcohol in my life…… I was born with cirhossis of the liver!!!!!!!!!!!
ok so i have a blood test coming up and i want to see which one of the tests on the paper will check for drugs. more specific is marijuana and alcohol.
-Comp Metabolic Panel w/eGFR
-lipid panel(fast specimen)
-CBC w/diff (hgb,hct,rbc,wbc,plt,diff)
-TSH
-T-3 uptake
-T-4(thyroxine), total
-ua,complete(dipstick and microscope)
Also i am not sure if any of them are a drug test so if none are then please let me know.
i dont want to be postive because my mom will find out and yes there is blood drug tests i got one last year
ok so i have checked and apperatnly a ua is a drug test
is there anything a person et or drink or do that will help clear out the alcohol from the liver and stuff
i know drinking liquor is bad as it is, but does drinking water to chase it worse, better, or doesn’t make a difference?
i’ve herd one pro and one con: pro being that it cleanses the alcohol from your body a bit, and less calories are consumed. Con is that it kills your liver quicker..

The routine proceedure for new hire at my employment is drug testing is a mouth swab what would be the results the company is looking for? Alcohol, or prescription medications, use of marijuanna? Why is the test done?
my liver isn’t the greatest. And It’s difficult to lose weight for that reason. I cleanse, diet, run, weight-lift, but I’m having trouble losing my last 10 lbs. I’m in my early 20s, still young enough to have a decant metabolism, but as I said, my liver is sh*ty. I used to take hydroxycut, lost at least 20 pounds (and, no that’s not the reason for my less-than-proper liver). But now its back on the shelves, is it less likely to cause damage?
And in case you need my medical history, I had 2 gallstones go into my liver, they could remove one, but had to place stints in to loosen the other (for fear it my do further damage) and it has been removed. When I drink alcohol, I can feel my liver swell the next day (which obviously isn’t good when you are aware of an organ). But I have taken the road to a healthier life by fasting once and awhile.
And please, be kind. I know how everyone want a sarcastic word in now days, including myself ;D.
i started this detox on saturday, today is wednesday with no noticeable changes yet, well i lost 2 lbs but i’m doin weight watchers since jan 08!!! 3st 10lb so far…. thought this detox would help with last few pounds!!! feeling good so far, was expecting cramps and alot of toilet trips but nothin yet!!! drink alot of water everyday, dont drink tea or coffee and haven’t drank alcohol in a month!! just wondering if any one can help me. should i have noticed a change yet or is it working?? thanks!!!
i got put on probation in late march, and i havent done any form of drugs since that time. however, before being put on probation i smoked marijuana heavily. my first drug test is on wednesday, and i think my system is completly clean, but if its not can i still get in trouble even though i havent done any drugs since i got put on probation? and also, i drink a lot, is alcohol in a probation drug test, or is the test only for drugs?
My father has been in the hospital for almost two weeks because his liver has failed due to alcohol (alcoholic hepatitis). The doctors say there is not much they can do so we’ve been giving him alternative medicines like Goji berry juice and lemonade cleanse (lemon juice, maple syrup and Cayenne pepper). Does anyone know if these things could have an adverse effect on his health?
Thank you for your opinion Gary, the doctor told us he can’t give us his professional opinion on these things because he has no training on them, though he did say it’s okay to try them. So I guess we’re just reaching for the stars.
The Drug test is only screening for drugs in your system, not alcohol, right?
Ok, so i have a drug test tomorrow at 11am. About a week ago i bought a detox kit called Detox Value Pack. On the back it says to avoid all toxins up to 48 hours prior to having to take your drug test. Obviously i want to pass so i haven’t smoked marijuana (the reason i have to drug test) or drank any alcohol. The only thing im worried about is im a cigarette smoker too and it didn’t even cross my mind that that’d probably be considered a "toxin". I smoked a cigarette just an hour ago (under 24 hours till my drug test). If anyone has any experience with these detox drinks can you tell me if this is going to affect me passing this drug test? Thanks in advance.
Edit: Cigs did not affect my result, the detox drink worked in 1 hour. I took the pill it came with, drank the drink and i passed this morning! Oh and the guy who said drink lots of water was wrong, back of the drink said not to do that, just to drink your usual amount to stay hydrated. Which i did, and passed.
