Somebody recommended to me drinking aloe vera juice as a natural therapy for inflammatory colitis. I’m taking alopathic medicine also, but want to take a natural approach to help me speed recovery, will it help? I’d love to hear from experience.

I know is unknown how people get diagnosed with colitis. But if you have an idea, or you have colitis or know someone who has colitis, how do you think you got it or they got it?

Also, my friend has Colitis and everyone thinks she got it because she ate Bacon that was not cooked right. Which gave her parasites and that’s how she got Colitis. What do you think?

crohns, does it double her chances of death or anything?? I feel so bad for her as she has suffered from the colitis for over 20 years now, the doctors say her pouch might have got infected or she may have the crohns for sure. Has anyone experieced this? As I was saying results printed after procedure by doctor indicate the following ; evidence of colitis of the sigmoid,mucosa appeared thickened and edematous. one biopsy sample was taken of this area I still have not received results. is this a serious condition and if this is are there any cures or treatement?

My cat of one year was recently diagnosed with colitis – no symptoms except for blood at the end of each and every stool. Vet gave him one-week dose of antibiotic/anti-inflammatory but stools are still bloody. Now mixing good-bacteria-powder for cats in his food for one month. Does anyone know of any good cat food for colitis? (besides Iams/Eukanuba – I boycott the company) Thanks!!

What kinds of things are they looking for in a colonoscopy? I am going for one tomorrow and I am scared and I want to know what their looking for. They must have some idea. I have just been Diagnosed with colitis. Ok well I work outside as a supervisor. We do environmental work in areas where you can not get to by truck. It is rough, bouncy, and alot of mud. Well will this effect my colitis?

I have had colitis for about five years and have had surgery once. When the doctor did the surgery they went in and took care of as much as possible and snipped two anal muscles, not completly cut the muscle just made a tiny snip to loosen the area, so I could have a normal bowel movement without bleeding. It has been about four years since the surgery and I really haven’t had to many problems with the colitis however once you have it you always have it. My boyfriend and I have always been open minded about sexual activity and this is one thing I don’t know if I can safely do without damaging myself. If anyone can help me out please let me know. My mom is in the hospital with an e-coli infection. It is in her kidney. The doctors said she has internal bleeding somewhere in her body. I looked up her symptoms on the internet and it sounds like hemorrhagic colitis. Is this very treatable? I’m really scared. Please help me.

I am now 16 and have been adapted to a wheat free diet at 14, i have still had some problems with flare ups since but not as severe. They have diagnosed me with Colitis but could they have been wrong?
