Some people say it’s regular constipation, some say it’s regular diarrhea, some say its constipation that comes and goes, some say it’s diarrhea that comes and goes, some say it alternates between the two, some say its BOTH at the same time.. like bowel movements that start hard and then get softer and then get runny toward the end…
I’m really confused.. what ARE the symptoms of IBS?

i suffer fom spastic colon with constipation, and wanted to start taking a creatine monohydrate suppliment for my weight lifting workouts. would this be ok? or will it affect my spastic colon?

One of my friends had gastric bypass surgery in July (one of the side we were told about was gall stones/attacks). On christmas she was complaining of the following: bad indigestion and gas (not relieved even by taking four anti-gas pills, pain near the breastbone, constipation that would not go away with laxitives, and pain near the shoulders and in the back. Any help?
Also, my friend is currently laid off and so she does not want to pay for a doctor unless it is absolutely necessary.

I have IBS and my lower stomach really hurts. I take already powders (mbeverine) to make the constipation go away. I don’t know where my pain is coming from or where I react at. I think maybe coffe so I stopped drinking coffee but the pain isn’t away. anyone suggestions?

I feel that I suffer from Irritable bowel syndrome that leads to continuous constipation, the doctors said that there is no cure for me and this illness will stay with me forever. Can anyone tell me plz if there is something to decrease the illness symptoms?

For the last year and a half I have experienced soft narrow stools, and alternating constipation and diarreah. I started funning the last month, and since then my stools have been normal again, more bulky and hard. Can running influence the caliber of a person’s stool?

I don’t mean as a maintenance tool, altho that is desirable info. Right now I mean for immediate relief for constipation. It’s not for a baby. It’s for me as a 52 yr old adult. If it matters my weight is 119 lbs. I realize my question will elicit some giggles (who can help it) but if anyone has real info I’d like to hear! The constipation is due to daily meds so that’s where any maintence info would come in.

I am having pressure, not pain, but discomfort like on or around where my pubic region (or possibly pelvic bone) and I was wondering if this discomfort could be caused by constipation and is that normal for only being 4 weeks and 2 days pregnant or is it a symptom of a coming miscarriage?

Ever since I had my gallbladder removed, I’ve had problems with constipation. I know prune juice helps with that issue, but problem is I don’t know how much to drink so that it won’t cause me to have diahrreah (I know I misspelled that). My 85 year old father has a great deal of difficulty with constipation. He has tried both over the counter and prescription medications in all sorts of dosages and combinations with little to no relief. I’m 16 and have constant stomach problems. It seems to go through a cycle of intense stomach pain when I eat ANYTHING to long periods of constipation and trouble passing gas. I have family history with both irritable bowel syndrome and celiac disease. I drink a half a gallon of water each day and really have any soda. I just want to know what I have and what I can do.

I’ve been taking ducolax pills for my constipation about 3-4 times a week. I’ve become immune to them now from taking them too much and they don’t work for me anymore. I’ve tried to cure it naturally but after 2weeks it still didn’t work and my constipation got worse. Should I used a different pill such as citrucel? What else can I do to cure my constipation?
