My boyfriend found out on Wednesday that he has a kidney stone that is 3.6mm wide. He still has pain in his side and his back. When the doctors did a cat scan on Wednesday, it showed that it was just about to drop down into his bladder. Should he go back to the doctor to see if it got stuck? Or is it normal to still feel this pain even after it dropped into is bladder?

So i decided to do a home-made colonic by unscrewing the showerhead from the pipe and and then sticking pipe up my backside. Everything was going fine I had the water pressure on very low, and it felt very soothing and relaxing but I accidentally turned up the water pressure too high and felt a very sharp pain deep in my anus. After pulling the pipe out quite a lot of blood came out and ever since I’m having big problems passing poo. I’m way too embarrassed to go to the doctors and explain what happened. Please tell me what to do.

I’m only 16, and I’ve been getting chronic kidney stones since I was 6 or 7 years old.. My doctors have no idea why I’ve been getting them, all they tell me is that they are calcium oxalate. So we cut down on dairy with me, but I still get them 3-5 times a month. I really have no idea what’s causing them at all, or how to get rid of them…

My father had a history of kidney stones for the past ten years. He was gone through two procedures before to get these stones from his kidney out using the lithotripsy option, which was described to be very painful but it did not get rid of the problem. He has again diagnosed with another kidney stone and the doctors suggested lithotripsy again. We are very concern and we are seeking other alternatives other than this same procedures that have been conducted before. The stone is about 8mm, considered big. If you have any answers or suggestions as to ways or other alternatives other than the two procedures above that are safe and less painful, please let me know. We need answers as soon as possible before he has to go through surgery in the next couple of weeks and the doctors are calling to schedule an appointment for his surgery already. Thank you so much. I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon, and hopefully you have helpful answers and suggestions to my concerns.

Well my girlfriend says her kidney is bothering her, and they’ve been hurting really badly right now. I want her to go to the hospital but she wants to wait 7 hours to go to her doctors in the morning. She’s been having problems all day like peeing blood and her kidneys hurting, how long is to long?

I’m a 30 year old female who has suffered from acne since I was 12. The acne the past 2 years has been entirely DIFFERENT, though. It is along my jawline and on my chin. Most definitely hormonal. Very emotionally draining. I would like suggestions to help the root of this problem (which is my hormonal imbalance). Please don’t say wash your face, change your diet, or stop touching your face. Those things are not causing my acne. It is the hormonal imbalance. I have done a colon cleanse, kidney/urinary cleanse, parasite cleanse, and two liver flushes. I am currently on no medications, but take a myriad of vitamins and herbs every day. I will not take any prescription medications including gels/creams, or birth control pills. Thank you.
MollyMac, I may have acne but I guarantee my body and internal organs are much healthier than yours. I will also live longer and less prone to disease. I would respectfully ask you not to believe everything the media, government, and doctors tell you is true. . .

Doctors say IBS is having hardly …any organic cause. ..stress, anxiety precipitates IBS. people suffering from IBS can have either constipation or diarrhoea? is it true that omitting fat in diet can cure IBS permanently ? any other permanent cure remedies?

"United States
Population-based studies estimate the prevalence of irritable bowel syndrome at 10-20% and the incidence of irritable bowel syndrome at 1-2% per year."
http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/180389-overview
Common as it is, in some cases it’s debilitating, and even if it isn’t, having it will severely reduce the quality of your life. I feel for the people who do have it, as I may have it myself – I’ll find out in a few weeks once the doctors have had their fun with me.
Why not assemble a team of gastrointerologists, neurologists, psychiatrists, immunologists, microbiologists, etc… and get to the bottom of this already?
We’ve mapped out the entire human genome – a cure for IBS can’t be too hard to find.

I have been suffering from this for a very long time. I have seen doctors and have been in the hospital (inflamed large intestine) no surgery but they said if the swelling didn’t go down then they would.
I have sharp stabbing pains on the right side of my stomach that start along side my belly button and shoot straight down. They come and go. Like contractions.
I suffer from this from time to time. It could be months without out any pain and then it flares up again. I think its been about 7 months since this happened and I am suffering from it again. It’s been 2 days now. I have diarrhea also.
Does this sound like Irritable bowel syndrome?
Doctors never told me it was. never said anything.
Though when I was pregnant I had this and thought I was in labor and My doctor then told me he thought it was Irritable Bowel syndrome

I was given 750 mg of levaquin for 10 whole days, after the 6th day I couldn’t even walk. So I took myself off of it. I’ve had trouble with joints, muscles, and have had major headaches ever since. It’s only been a month, so maybe I’ll get better for sure (I have to think positive).
I have an appointment with a renowned nutritionist. She will do tests and then make her decision. But she said that she might have to have me put on IV nutrition to cleanse the liver.
Could this be a good route? If it’s safe, then of course I’d do it. I can’t walk…I’m only 35 and don’t have a history of bad health problems. So, I’m assuming that I could definitely get better from this awful reaction…Is IV nutrition too drastic for this?? Please don’t write me to ask doctors, a doctor mismed me so, I’m obviously having trouble with doctors right now!
I would like for doctors, nurses, or people who know a lot from experience to answer…

What have people used and worked for them. IBS is a terrible and frustrating condition so I wanted to know what is good before I go with what a gastroenterologist might tell me to try. There are some prescription products on the market for IBS. www.donnatal.com:
Donnatal is an adjunctive therapy in the treatment of irritable bowel syndrome (irritable colon, spastic colon, mucous colitis) and acute enterocolitis. Donnatal has been used for over 30 years and is a trusted product by doctors and patients.
what’s Zelnorm? do they have a website like www.donnatal.com ? I looked them up and the first thing I saw was a recall.

I’ve heard there are such things as "silent stones" and these often cause no symptoms or problems. I’m 14 weeks pregnant which leads me to believe most doctors wouldnt want to do surgery anyway. Is there any risk to not being treated?

I keep hearing that the colon stores ‘plaque’ and old fecal matter, toxins etc. on the intestinal walls that can stay there for years. Is it true? Is it a good idea to do a colon cleanse, water or juice fast or enema to clean it out? Please be descriptive and don’t just say yes or no. Thanks for your help!
I’ve never been so grateful for an answer before. Thank you SO much to all the Doctors that contributed and saved me from an unpleasant and costly experience! I can’t choose a best answer because all three of you gave comprehensive answers. I guess I’ll just put it to a vote and give you all thumbs up! Thanks again!

My aunt has stage IV colon cancer that has already spread to her liver.
I am very much into alternative healthcare and was reading about this herbal parasite cleanse that consists of three herbs:
1. Wormwood
2. Black Walnut Hulls
3. Common Cloves
These 3 herbs have been proven, if taken together, by some doctors to CURE cancer (no matter how late the stage).
Does anyone know more information about this or know from personal experience that this works?
We are also looking into buying a parazapper machine, but we live in Slidell, Louisiana and don’t know HOW we could get one here.
I would REALLY appreciate it, too, if someone knew where to get one of those.
Thanks.
