I have gallstones, and I will be setting a date with a surgeon soon to have my gall bladder removed. Can anyone tell me about the surgery? how long it will take to heal? how long should I have to take off work? Will it hurt much? Thanks so much ♥

My dermatologist prescribed me solodyn for my acne. He had prescribed me 135mg and i was only 14 and 135 pounds at the time. I took this for maybe 3 months or more. i was starting to have stomach pains and the doctor didnt want to change me. We then changed doctors and found out that 135mg would normally be prescribed to a 270 plus pound guy. So i was wandering if this could have cause my stomach and gall bladder pains.

I am 30 years old and mother of 17 months old baby. 2 weeks ago I has laproscopic surgery of gall bladder. I had stones in my bile duct, so doctors removed my gall bladder. I know gall bladder helps in breaking down the fats. I just want to know that I will be obese in future or not? and how can I prevent my obesity?My height is 5.3 and my weight is 110 pounds. I have been suffering from gall bladder problems for about 3 years now. When it first started happening, I didn’t getting the vomiting so when I went to the ER because I seriously thought I was having a heart attack, the ER doctor said I had Pulisi (sorry, I can’t spell that), inflammation of the chest lining. Of course the minute I lose my health insurance, the symptoms worsened and the vomiting began. I ended up going to a "free" clinic of sorts, where they ran tests and said I did have gall bladder stones, and it really should be removed, but there is no way without my insurance to have it done.
I have tried to keep it under control with diet. But I still get the flair ups about once a month or so. I can usually tell within about 5 minutes of eating something, if I’m going to have a flair up within that night.
Last night I put my fork down and said, tonight is going to be one of those nights. So we are wondering if there is anything that can help reduce the pain.

Will I feel different. Will things change with me? Will things operate better?
I have a build up of sludge and the gall bladder barely works, if at all. I have no pain, but obviously there are a few problems. What can I expect after it is removed. Will I feel different? Will things change?

I have been getting this discomfort feeling under my right rib only and sometimes it radiates to the back (right) same place..my doc said if it stays for another 2 weeks after trying tumms, then she will check me out for infections.
is it common to get gall bladder problems during preggers?

A close friend of mine is having a cyst in her gall-bladder.She is worried that if she gets it operated she will have to remove her gall-bladder and this will spoil her power to digest. And I’ve heard that it can lead to cancer or it is one of the pre-cancer symptoms. Please help.

ok so I’m getting my gall bladder removed this Wednesday ’cause I got some stones there. Thing is that I smoked pot last saturday and I’m getting kinda freaked out about it, can something go wrong because of it? I consume marijuana like once or twice a month, nothing excessive. I have been having pain in my abdomen and my exasperated doctor finally ordered a HIDA-scan which determined that my gall bladder is not functioning correctly. He recommends having it removed at my convenience. Both my mom and my brother got to the point (without warning) of having a full blown gall bladder attack and have to have it removed. I am scared of getting to that point but would like to know what the downsides might be to going ahead and having it removed.
