I have a 2.5 mm kidney stone (had an IVP 2 days ago) which at the moment seems to be under control with oral naproxen, yet I am having pain in the other kidney too. Is this a usual occurrence? Also, with the size of this stone, is it likely that I will be in the extreme pain that I keep hearing about for larger stones once it moves out of the kidney? Thanks!

I am having severe pain in my back and lower abdomen and lower in my pubic bone. It’s so painful. Sometimes it’s on my right side and sometimes in my left side. I kept peing like forever whenever i drink but sometimes i pee only few drops.

Today i am going to the doctor to have an ultra sound… So i am thinking if i have kidney stone and it pass won’t it break my virginity?

This is something I’ve always wondered:How do you get a kidney stone? Do you get it from holding pee? Drinking dirty water? Drinking to much water? Also how do you get an appendicitis?

My boyfriend found out on Wednesday that he has a kidney stone that is 3.6mm wide. He still has pain in his side and his back. When the doctors did a cat scan on Wednesday, it showed that it was just about to drop down into his bladder. Should he go back to the doctor to see if it got stuck? Or is it normal to still feel this pain even after it dropped into is bladder?

I was recently diagnosed with an uric kidney stone and I am not sure if I can still take liquid l-carnitine before exercise. Can anyone help?? Would l-carnitine hurt my kidneys?
P.S. I am not taking any supplements other than l-carnitine 30 min before exercise.

I was put in the hospital for really bad back pain, and they thought I had a kidney stone. But what does actually passing the stone feel like? Is it painful when you pee it out? Or does it just hurt when it travels through your kidneys to your bladder?

Is there anything particularly dangerous about a kidney stone? I think I’ve got one, and I can’t go to the doctor until tuesday. Will I be okay until then? Also, how is it treated?
well, if you must know, it hurts terribly when i urinate, i can feel a bump with my hands that seems to be in the urethra, and sometimes when i try to urinate, little to none comes out, although i feel like i am urinating. yeah.
however, there is no vomiting, fever, or significant abdominal pain, so i am skeptical. i was just asking this question because some people suggested that a kidney stone might be the problem on another question i asked.

I never, ever want to get kidney stones. So I am currently taking three tablespoons of highly concentrated lemon juice in water every day. And 1-2 times a week I also ass 15 drops of grapefruit seed extract to the lemon juice.

As I adsorb a lot of vitamins and minerals as well, I’ve heard that calcium is not good in the kidney stone criteria. I take a calcium tablet a day that contains 600mg of calcium. Is this bad?

I was taken into the emergency room back on May 18 and was diagnosed with a 3mm kidney stone. I have now been to the ER twice since then and the stone still hasn’t passed. I take the pills like I am supposed to and drink water. Ive been drinking liter after liter of water and still nothing. I starting to get get sick of taking these pills and drinking all this water!

I am suffering from a kidney stone and so far I have tried advil,tylenol,alieve,motrin iburofen and nothing seems to work. My doctor did not perscibe me anything for them nor do I want to take medicines like that because of the effects they have on me.
