I am talking about everyday things we take into our body. Caffeine, nicotine, medication. I have heard of a lemon detox, aciberry or something like that. Someone suggested this black cherry liquid stuff. I bought it and i can add it to my drink and it tastes good. I got it in the vitamin section. But does any of this stuff really work. If so what works the best.

I’ve had a kidney stone attack last November 2008, After medication, I had KUB xray, no stone found and the doctor did some kidney punch. After a month I still feel some discomfort specially when i sit for long hours. I had Urinalysis and had another XRAY with lateral view of lumbar spine, still went normal, the Doctor said i have a muscle-skeletal pain. I don’t know if the discomfort is only in my mind. It’s been here since i had the stone attack.

My Mom has a kidney stone(s) right now, and last night she was on the floor screaming in pain. We don’t exactly know how big it is, but, when she passes it, I heard that it hurt so much, like child birth! I need some suggestions for main meds when she is passing it. I am looking for a medication that is very trustworthy, and takes a lot of pain out of it. Also, if you can, would you please list some things I should expect when she passes it? Thank you so much. i am going in for a colonoscopy tomorrow and have been told to drink 2 liters of medication to clear the colon
however I am finding it really hard to drink and keep gagging on it I have taken half the solution and my stool is clear (due to the fact that Iv been having running diarrhea for 3 weeks..so the solution didnt really have to do much to clear my bowels

strictly for constipation caused by other prescription meds?

I’ve see the ad on TV, but can’t seem to find the name of it,

It is a ‘by prescription only" medication that is especially for chronic constiaption caused by OTHER medications one has to take long term, such as with certain chronic conditions. NOT talking about any OTC med or Zelnorm. This is a fairly new one.

Besides not getting drunk in the first place I always get the diarhea like 6 or seven times the day after I drink, and have horrible stomach cramps. But I am guessing that no stomach medication will help, and I will just have to let it run it’s course?

If I went on a detox program that was supposed to flush all toxins from my system would it mess with my antidepressant medication?

okay well after countless posts about my symptoms, I went to see my GP yesterday. after telling her my symptoms (change in period after 8 years of having them -heavy one month, light spotting the next, brown discharge), a painful stitch under my left rib and the feeling of something digging into my lower stomach when I walked. she felt my stomach, commented that I certainly looked and felt bloated..there was no pain when she was feeling around..then she told me it was irritable bowel syndrome and prescribed me some medication

so my question is, is this how this is diagnosed? just a simple feel of the stomach? and does IBS make your stomach balloon out so you look 5 months pregnant?..
my doctor put me on mebeverine hydrochloride.
also, all my doctor did was feel my stomach, and do a pregnancy test on me. then she told me it was IBS.

I’ve been bloated. Its not my period and my doc says i need a bowel cleanser. But gave no names of medication.. anybody got any homemade or store bought ones i can try? also constipation. something thats good for that too

My Sister 26 years old got problem when she pee and according to doctor she got kidney stone. My questions :
1. What is the medical procedure to identify if this is really kidney stone or not?
2. What is the medical procedure and the right medication?
3. Will it need surgery or can use the wave shock something or any other idea?
4. Is there any diet she can follow to make the stone gone?
5. Will it possible for her to has other stone in the future if the current stone gone ?

For your info our mother also got problem with kidney, so this might be genetical.

I am looking to start a 7 day detox from alcohol today. Am really nervous as dont like taking medication and worry about feeling ‘out of it’, as I am on my own and raising my young child. Are ther severe side effects when taking? My dosage comes in 5mg tablets and the first day I take 80mg, (20mg 4 times a day) then reduces so on day 7, i will only take one tablet then I’m finished. What happens after is also a concern. I am not a heavy drinker, but wanted to get help with not drinking every evening, hence the prescription. I am tempted to not take and use strong will and jsut not drink. Any advice would be great.

I have had a lot of trouble trying to receive a prescription for pain meds. Here is my problem. I have some major problems with my bowels and pain. I think I may have a serious bowel condition. It could be Inflammatory bowel disease or crohns disease. I have done research into my symptoms. I could explain, but it can get a little unpleasant. One thing I know for sure is I have some very strong pain from this. Its is intolerable. I have tried everything to fix this problem. Ive tried improving my diet. Adding more fiber, fruits and veggies. I also have increased my fluid intake. Juices and water. Ive also drank more milk. Ive used vitamins. I have tried laxatives, stool softeners and antidiarrheals. I even tried a total bowel cleanse. The kind that they use to prepare for a colonoscopy. I am out of options. cant even have bowel movemnts without some sort of over the counter medication. The visual symptoms are making me worried. (appearance of stool) All of this has been going on for 2 years now. Its has gotten much much worse over the past 6 months. I am at a breaking point.

My current situation is this… I have seen a few different doctors for this. They all are saying that my problems arent very serious. I need to see a specialist. I cant see a gastroenterologist, because my primary doctor will not give me a referall. They will not give me a prescription for pain meds in the mean time. They refuse. This really upsets me, because I feel that they dont trust me. I also think that they wont take me seriously.

heres the thing she wont give me a referral, because she says all they will do is give me a colonoscopy. I cant get a colonoscopy, because my insurance will not cover one. So inorder to take the next step to see if this pain I feel is real, I need to see a GI and have a colonoscopy. At this time, that is not an option.

So what do I do? How do others get a prescription for Pain medication? I feel totally disrespected. Like my feelings arent important. That I dont know what I need. I will be eligible for a better type of insurance in 3 months. In the mean time, I am suffering from a lot of pain.

How can I just get a doctor to help me? I need a prescription for the time being. I understand that they dont just hand out Pain killers to anyone. In this case however, I am a person that genuinely needs the help of pain medication. What can be done? I feel I am so alone and helpless in this situation.

P.S. with my current insurance I can only go to the hospital that I am currently using.
