As a disclaimer, I am not a doctor or medical expert and in no way am I suggesting that anyone reading this should self-diagnose or start a detox program on their own without first consulting their doctor or medical practitioner.
The following is meant for information purposes only and is not meant to diagnose or recommend treatment to anyone. You should use caution when embarking upon any diet change, cleansing or detoxification program and you do so at your own risk.
With that said, the following is just my personal experience and recommendations of others who have dealt with the subject of detox and body cleansing. As a matter of fact, many thousands and perhaps millions of people before you have successfully rid themselves of harmful toxins and helped them improve their health through a proper detox.
The method of ridding the body of toxins and waste is known as a detox or detoxification. There are many different kinds of detox programs and some of them target specific organs such as the liver or the gall bladder.
A cleansing body detox is a great way to feel better and more rejuvenated. You can feel more energy, lose weight and cleanse the tissues and organs as well as give your digestive system a cleansing.
One of the most well known detoxing methods is the master cleanse otherwise known as the lemonade diet. It is basically a 10 day fasting during which you drink only fresh water with lemon juice, a small amount of pure maple syrup and a dash of cayenne pepper.
Many people have enjoyed the benefits of such a cleanse and you can too, provided you make sure you have checked with your physician or doctor to see if you have any precautions in doing so.
The health benefits are tremendous as you can rid the body of accumulated waste from the tissues and organs as well as the blood stream. We are bombarding our bodies with sugar, fats, alcohol, cigarettes, coffee and other harmful chemicals and products. Even if we do not drink alcohol or smoke, we are eating foods which might be de-natured or filled with fats and sugars and need to go on a fasting diet or a cleansing diet to get rid of some of these destructive elements.
Then there is the traditional juice fasting which has been done by many thousands of people to help cleanse and rejuvenate the body. Fresh vegetables and fruits are juiced in a juicer which separates the juice from the pulp and cellulose. A typical juice might be made from greens such as kale, spinach and parsley and a hand full of sprouts along with maybe a lemon and some ginger for punch. The lemon makes the juice even healthier and the ginger is anti viral and has healing properties as well.
But aside from maybe adding an apple or pear to a vegetable juice, keep the fruits and vegetables separate when making juices. Avoid the citrus juices and fruits.
A water fast is just fasting with only water being drunk. This allows for a real rest of the digestive system allowing for more toxins to be eliminated.
If you can, make sure to take a sauna, as a good sweat will help cleanse the skin and pores as well as get those toxins out of the body.
Some homeopathic and naturopathic physicians recommend detox kits with drops that you can take that help cleanse and eliminate toxins. Even women can notice that their cellulite starts to disappear when they clean out the toxic materials from their body systems.

First off lets not confuse a disposable on time enema with a real enema as they are only clearing the rectum. A large volume enema would involve a person taking 1-2 quarts or more (some have boasted about doing 4 qts or more but they are exceptions). Larger volume means the water is reaching further into the colon, Once you have taken the entire bag you would retain it for a period of time and then get up and evacuate on the toilet. For most people this is the finish of an enema.
For those wanting a more thorough clean-out they may repeat this 2 to 4 times. So if you had taken 4 2 quart enemas you have processed 8 quarts of solution. Some may be retained and later passed in urine as your body may absorb some of the water.
With a colonic, it must be administered by a trained professional in their facility. The therapist would insert a disposable speculum in your anus and begin filling your system. At some point they would stop the flow in and then another clear tube allows the water to come back out. There is no odor and the therapist looks at the tubing to determine how well the colonic is clearing your colon. They repeat this process and each time the water would reach further into your colon and then drain. By the time you were finished they could have processed about 5 gallons of solution through your colon and the returns would be clear.
An enema bag can be purchased starting at $5 and they are reusable (rinse thoroughly after use and do not share) whereas a colonic session costs start around $65 per session and some exceed $100 per session. Some colonic therapists offer packages of multiple sessions for a discount.
colonic-air
Enema-water
Both essentially clean your bowels.
one costs more and the other one hurts more
A colonic wil remove bulit up stool pockets deep within the colon. The doctor will insert a tube into your rectum and run water through it to loosen the stool. It is quite uncomfortable. An enema will clear out what is in the lower part of your bowels. It is relatively painless and works very quickly.
None – you dont’ "need" either one. Your anus is a one way exit on the highway of life…..
About 60 bucks!
